Top makeup and beauty hacks that will change your life

Life moves fast and barely anyone’s got an hour or so to sit down and prep her face for the long day ahead. Makeup is life, but what if you simply don’t have the time and mad skills to get it done? Here are a few life-changing beauty hacks to achieve that pro and polished look at school or work today.

Fix that oily nose

Use eye shadow primer on your nose, and then spray with setting spray, and then stipple your foundation on it to help it last all day.

Turn eyeliner pencil into gel

With the help of a match or lighter, hold your eye pencil under the flame for a second, and then let it cool for 15 seconds. Watch the consistency change before your eyes. Test it out by gliding on your newly created gel liner for an instantly smudgier formula.

Create an instant smokey eye effect

Draw a slanted hashtag at the outer corner of your eye. Blend it out with the smudger at the other end of your eyeliner to achieve a quick smokey eye!

Get an instant eye lift

Grab a beige or pink-beige matte pencil or eye shadow if you’re light-skinned, or have a brightening concealer shade handy if you have a deeper skin tone. Apply this color along the entire bottom length of your eyebrow as well as the outer 2/3 above your eyebrow. Blend it out properly.

Make your lipstick last all day

Put on a coat of your favorite lipstick and then put a layer of tissue across your lips. Dust translucent powder on in order to make the color set, keeping it intact longer and perhaps even throughout the day.

Find your light

Check your makeup under different light conditions; the bright outside light when you get into your car will help you see any spots you may have missed.
